How To Clean

How to Clean and Care for your Platinum Collection

A Good Beginning…

The first thing to do before using your new stainless steel cookware is to WASH each piece thoroughly in hot detergent suds, to which 4 cup of white distilled vinegar has been added. Rinse with hot water and dry completely with a soft towel. This will remove manufacturing oils. This step only has to be performed once. Make sure after each use, good dishwashing rules are necessary for everyday care of your cookware.

Here is the absolute easiest way to clean you cookware. While the pan is still hot, fill it half way with cold water and let it sit for a few minutes. This shocks the food residue off the bottom of the pan. Then wipe the reside off with your blue sponge and use a good stainless steel cleanser like “Barkeepers Friend”. Remember the sample you received when you received your cookware. If a stubborn burn has been created, partly fill the pan with water and bring to a boil (you also might try boiling distilled vinegar, instead of water). Use a wooden spoon to remove such burned particles. Follow it up with Bar Keeper Friend.

Heat Tints…

A blue, golden brown or bronzy discoloration may appear on the outside of your pan. This is from overheating a Platinum unit. This is easily remove by using your Bar Keepers Friend and remembers to use the soft blue sponge to avoid any scratching.
